Annual registration is required for all families that would like to participate in Wyoming Before and After School Care. New students cannot register for the following school year until the open registration period.

There is a $40/family non-refundable processing fee. 

REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT

Children must be enrolled in the PM or All Day Kindergarten through the 8th grade class in a Wyoming City School to be eligible to attend the after school program or be on a waiting list during the school year. Students can enroll in WBASC only at their school of attendance.

**New families please choose all three primary schools for lottery placement, unless you are confident you are assigned a specific primary school. This also applies to kindergarten and first graders. It is not uncommon to be assigned a primary school different from what you consider to be your neighborhood school.

Children attending AM Kindergarten are eligible only for enrollment in the WBASC morning programs, but not eligible for any PM program or for the WBASC waiting list.

A child cannot be enrolled in WBASC without permission for emergency transportation. Children must be toilet trained in order to attend the WBASC program. See our Parent Handbook for additional details.   

Additional forms are required if your child takes medication or has a medical condition that might require attention during program hours. See the Health Condition Info page for details.

ALERT HILLTOP FAMILIES: As we await the information concerning the upcoming Hilltop construction process, our childcare availability and location may be impacted.  We will keep families informed. 

Please read the following information carefully. We are significantly changing the registration process due to our anticipated and continued staff shortage.

 Registration at Elm, Hilltop, and Vermont will initially be limited to 36 spots per site until we can secure staff to meet the Ohio Jobs and Family Services mandated ratio 1 staff per 18 students. 

Based on our current staffing model for next school year there is a strong possibility we will not have enough staff to operate at 54 spots per site. Again, we must stay compliant with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services mandated ratio. 

Before Care for Elm will continue to be at Hilltop with limited enrollment due to bussing constraints. 

PRIORITY REGISTRATION FOR 36 SPOTS PER SITE

Registrations will be accepted beginning February 19, 2025.Priority registration will close February 26, 2025.**Applications received after February 26 will be processed as Open Enrollment. The $40 non-refundable processing fee per family will be billed to your account.

 NO CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS OR CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED.

The application of order received will no longer determine placement order. 

Applications will be sorted by a lottery on March 3, 2025. Applicants will be given a number at the time their completed application is received (February 19-26). 

Applicants numbers will be drawn randomly from a bingo spinner and assigned based in order drawn. Please be aware the lottery is by family not by child. Families should not expect 36 spots equal 36 families. It is not a 1 to 1 ratio. Some families will take one slot and some families may take three slots depending on their needs. After we fill the 36 spots per site, the additional  applicants' names will be placed on the priority registration waiting list. This list will also be based on the original lottery. Each site will have a lottery for the 36 spots per site as well as the waiting list spots.

Registration for the 2025-26 school year for families currently on a waiting list is February 19-26, 2025. If you missed the registration deadline, you must register during the Open Enrollment (March 10-17).

Registration is required annually to be considered for enrollment. If you are still on a waiting list, your registration fee will be waived.

We continue to offer enrollment throughout the school year. 

Registration for the 2025-26 school year is February 19 - February 26, for currently enrolled families. If you miss the registration period, you must register as a new family March 10-17.

Registration is required annually to continue enrollment. Currently enrolled families receive priority  and will be notified of upcoming registration timelines. Incoming siblings of currently enrolled students are given priority registration ahead of waiting list students.

Families that register for Wyoming Before and After School Care during the designated registration period and cannot be enrolled because the site is full are included on the waiting list for their school of attendance (site). Complete registration forms and processing fee payment are required to be included on a waiting list. The length of the waiting list and its movement varies from site-to-site and year-to-year. WBASC cannot guarantee or predict when space will become available.  Openings are offered as space becomes available throughout the year.
